Since 2015, the Lucerne Master Classes have offered doctoral students from all over the world the opportunity to spend a week working with internationally renowned humanities scholars and social scientists on issues of topical interest. The Lucerne Master Classes was supported by the Mercator Foundation Switzerland.

Past guests have included Nancy Fraser, Wolfgang Streeck, Axel Honneth, Sven Beckert, Wendy Brown and Eva Illouz, Marion Fourcade and Hanspeter Kriesi.
